On the road again.

My husband and I recently went on a road trip to Mildura. I know what was I thinking! A 6 hour drive  on a long boring freeway. Well...I had to find something to entertain myself so I grabbed my new camera and started taking some pics. Much to my delight they actually turned out ok. Sometimes beauty can be found in simple things.

Winter Wonders

Ok I admit it I am guilty of going on a little online shopping spree...but this winter weather is definitely kicking in! However I did grab some bargains from Revolve Clothing. That is what happens when you buy the last one left. Now lets just hope the shoe fits or in this case the cardigan fits.

My New Chairs.

Today I bought 2 new Bertoia diamond chairs for my living room. We needed some extra seating but I didn't want to spend a fortune. At $145 a pop I thought they were an ok price for 2 extra lounge chairs. I am planning on taking some pictures for the blog once I get everything looking how I want it (or close to it anyway). Before then, here are some fabulous pics of how this style of chair has been used.

10 Blissfull bedrooms and a little re-decorating...

I recently bought a new fabric bed and with every new purchase comes a little re-decorating. I have been trying to find a picture that makes me stop in my tracks, but I have had trouble finding one picture that encompasses all the elements that I want in a room. So instead I have compiled a collection on rooms that I am drawn to. I love soft warm bedrooms and I wish I could swap the dark gray carpet in bedroom for some lovely lush white/beige carpet. But unfortunately I am going to have to work with what I have got. My only options are a coat of paint, new lamps, pictures and maybe curtains down the track. I am hoping to make the room look nice and refreshing with as little $ as possible. After all I am extremely indecisive when it comes to decorating and I need to avoid splurging on something I will want to change in 6 months. One thing you will notice in all of these rooms is the comfy bedding. There is nothing better than lots of comfortable throws and cushions and layers. Ahh I think I am dreaming already. The pillow recipe that I tend to stick to is 2 big euro pillows and 4 normal pillows, you will notice that a similar combo is used in some of these rooms. I also love a little silver, glass or something glam. I consider all the little accessories like the jewlery to your outfit (in my opinion it makes the outfit). Then I want to include some natural aspects or something that adds warmth to the room. Usually this is done by adding timber pieces or artwork. Finally, incorporating texture is important, whether it be a floor rug or cushion or throw. Now I have to take my own advice and put something together. Consider this my inspiration diary. I will keep you posted on how it all goes.

10 Stunning living rooms by Coco Republic

 It is rare I know, but you those portfolio's where you just love everything and you cant decide which rooms you like best. Well this was one of them. Coco Republic have designed numerous homes that are to die for. I find their spaces to be very livable. The rooms look as thought they were designed from scratch with everything bought brand new, yet they don't look like they are straight out of a catalog.

Rather, they look polished and are spaces that you could add your own personal touches to over time.

 Beautiful Lucite armed chairs. A perfect mix of traditional yet modern glamor.

 I love this living room. Its a little formal but still inviting. The orange cushions are to die for.

 I can imagine spending my weekends in this homely cottage.

 This pic shows what you can do with a small space. The bed has a suspension system so that you can lift the bed up easily and it tucks into the wall. Such a great idea.
