Olioboard V's Polyvore?

I just discovered this new website called Olioboard, its a great program that allows you to create mood boards. I have used Polyvore for a while now, but I thought I would try Olioboard and compare the two. I personally find Polyvore easier to use but I'm sure once I get used to using Olioboard it will be fine. Olioboard seems to have more items to choose from than Polyvore and is more focused on design. However, keep in mind you can add your own pictures on both of the applications if you want to add something to the board you already have. Here is one I created today and I was happy with the result.

10 Beautiful Bedrooms

I have to admit my most favorite room in a house is the bedroom, not for naughty reasons, but because out of all the rooms in the house you can express your personal style the most. For me I want a little bit of Luxury, white linens, candles, glassware and silver, anything and everything that speaks glam. I want to be surrounded by all the things that make me happy and send me off to sleep feeling calm and relaxed. Here are 10 beautiful bedrooms that I could happily call my own.

A perfect shot.

I'm loving these shots from the December issue of Lonny. There is something about they way they were photographed that grabs my attention. I have mentioned how certain photos seem to jump out at me before, but I still cant quite figure out what it is. Maybe it is the symmetry. Anything jump out at you?

Cottage life.

Today I am loving this Southampton cottage designed by Timothy Whealon, its bright and fresh and summery. I especially love the colours used in the living room below, I can imagine sitting back and relaxing in this room. I think Timothy has done a fabulous job at making this cottage feel like a home.

I love the contrast between the soft cream colours the front room and the vibrant blue in the entryway at the back. I just love that blue! I would also love to know where that gorgeous artwork is from...?

This room is simple yet chic, not to fussy with simple rattan chairs but the Lucite table adds a bit of glam. I also adore that white chandelier.

Fresh airy and bright. White does wonders in Kitchens and laundry rooms. The checked floor is also amazing.

I want a elephant or two to sit in my courtyard...I will have to hunt one out.

Pretty things..

Today I am in the mood for something pretty, bright and inspiring, something that helps lift your mood when its a gray rainy day outside and these images are perfect. Kwinter and Co have done such an amazing job on all of these interiors, I want to jump in to them and have call them my own. Well enjoying them with my eyes will have to do for now.

Christmas Decorating.

Yay! I finally got some decorations for my tree and quickly started putting it all together. However, I was quickly shocked to find out that I had to thread the string through most of them! (lesson learned- spend a bit extra and get decorations that already have string through them). I wasn't sure what colours to go with but I ended up picking gold and a plum/brown colour. It all came together quite nicely, but I think I still want to add a pearl or cream colour to soften it a bit. Anyway this is how it looks so far.

The perfect lake house.

I cant believe it is December and the holiday period is quickly approaching! My husband and I bought our first Christmas tree last night. I was so excited I came home and put it up straight away. The only thing we had to decorate it with was fairy lights, but I am hoping to start my decoration shopping soon.....mmmm I will have to start thinking about the colours. Another great thing about Christmas aside from decorating and eating lots of yummy food, is spending the holidays with your family. I thought that this lake house would be the perfect place to spend some much needed relaxation time with family and friends. I love the open living spaces and the natural exposed beams. The interiors are cozy and inviting and the space is large enough for entertaining. What a lovely place to relax...... if only the owners would give it to me on loan for a few weeks.
