Phoebe Howard-Pretty and Pink!

I must admit I usually HATE matchy matchy interiors. However this bedroom by Phoebe Howard is an exception. Whist it mostly pink and white and very matchy I still think it such a gorgeous room. I love the mirrored dresser for a bit of glam mixed with the soft colour palate. I also love the peony roses they always add an extra pop of colour to a room.

Michael Partenio

Anyone who has tried to take a photo of an interior will have realised that they are not that easy capture. Some of my home DIY photos have been a total disaster. Even the most well designed rooms can come up looking bad and definitely don't do the room any justice! I just came across Michael Partenio who is a wonderful photographer and I think he captures interiors beautifully.

I love the pops of yellow with the black and white.

I am a big fan of neutrals and natural textures like the seagrass rug. In my opinion, every living space should have natural elements in the room because it adds warmth. I also think the mirrors also work really well and add extra space to the room.

One Kings Lane..

As a blogger I absolutely love coming across new sites that I can get some inspiration from. After sorting and sifting through hundreds of sites and blogs it is often hard to find ones that tick all the boxes. So for all you design lovers out there, One Kings Lane is another fantastic and inspiring site. You do have to be a member, but once you are you can have full access to inspiring ideas and tips from designers, upcoming events and you can also do some shopping while you are there and to top it all off it is Free!

(The only down side for anyone who lives in Australia is that they dont ship here :( , But you can still browse through the pictures and get some great tips).

Goop by Gwyneth Paltrow.

I have just discovered this clever and wonderful website by Gwyneth Paltrow called Goop. Its a newsletter full of tips and musings from her life. She talks about fashion, food, travel, fitness and anything else that fits under the titles MAKE, GO, GET, DO, BE, and SEE. You should definitely check it out!

Sunday Inspiration......

As we are approaching summer I thought a little outdoor inspiration was necessary. I love the idea of having an outdoor living space in summer, just imagine sitting back and relaxing with this view!

I think adding a rug to an outdoor living space looks great but maybe not that practical, but I still love this space.

I think the foyer to your home is a very important space because it is usually the first space people when they come into your home. This is nice and homely and works well when you don't have much space.

I love children bedrooms that have a little bit of sophistication and that would last until their teenage years. I think this one above works really well with the bold black and white but it is softened with the green walls and pink cushion.

I have to say I love this alternative to bedside tables!

What a nice bright sunny living space.

Seagrass rugs.

I want to change the rug in my living room and I was thinking of getting a sea-grass rug. Here some that I think work really well. I love the natural warm feel that the add to any room.
Enjoy...

Nate Berkus

I have loved the very popular Nate Berkus for a while now. He knows how to mix the old and then new and has a very relaxed homely style. Here are some photos of the apartment he did for his sister. I think he has been very clever at making a small home feel very large and sophisticated.
