A peak inside my home!

One of my favorite things to do is to look inside ordinary peoples homes for inspiration. I also love looking through magazines for ideas but I also think its nice to see an un-styled inexpensive home. After all most people don't have thousands of dollars to make a home beautiful and sometimes the most clever ideas come from unexpected places. There are many things that I would change in my home if I could and it is definitely a work in progress, but you just have to play with the things that you have got. Anyway here is what I have done with my home :)

 

 I just bought this seagrass rug for my living room and I absolutely love it. I think it is very versatile and would fit in in any home or with any style. My cushions are from one of my favorite homeware stores Country Road.

 

 My bookshelf is from Ikea, it was very cheap in comparison to other bookshelves and I love the way you can play around and arrange things differently depending on your mood.

 This is my guest bedroom. The stripes were already on the wall when we moved in so I have had to try and find things to complement them. Most of this furniture is old bits and pieces that I have thrown together for this room. For example the bedside tables were old pine ones that I have re-painted and put new handles on them.

 

 

 This is the master bedroom where I lay my head at night :). I must admit I do change the bedding around a lot depending on my mood, season or just because. For me its a cheap way to re-do and refresh the room.

 

 The prints didnt show up very well in these pics, but they are frames with blue fabric with a flower print on them from Ikea. This way you can keep the frames but change the artwork as you please.
